Title: there was a rumour
Post by: navi on September 14, 2013, 02:02:47 pm
Which is correct:
1-There was a rumour about something that happened in one of his concerts.
2-There was a rumour about something that was supposed to have happened in one of his concerts.

I think if we don't know if the 'something' in question has happened or not, it would be better to use 2. Would 1 be incorrect in this case?

Gratefully,
Navi.

Yes - exactly so.
