ps I found a table on the net that says "Alt+593", "Alt+339", etc but those codes don't work on my computer.

I found this site.  You can copy the symbol by just clicking on it.  "Start Word, create a symbol, highlight it, and copy it" -- this can be reduced to "open a new tab and click".

Thanks, Bertha.  Those you listed are mostly alphabets with accents.  If you see these symbols in here, I'd appreciate your letting me know.  They include easy-to-type letters and symbols but some are hard to type.  Thanks again.  --- tk

Do you mean the alphabetic letters with various accents?  Or do you mean the IPA symbols?  Which ones are hard to type?

For me, I must type the first letter, then hold down the Alt key and type the corresponding numerals from the number pad, then when I let up the Alt key the accented letter appears.  It won't work if I use the numbers from the upper row on the keyboard, but that may just be my keyboard. 

On the chart from Wikipedia, both of my examples above were listed, but those were only examples for their respective pronunciation symbols.
