My wife told me she thought we'd have less arguments if I wasn't so pedantic.
I told her 'I think you mean fewer'.

Actually I did correct the missing apostrophe in Homer's, and added the question mark after symptoms, but overlooked the doctor's
Probably better just to remove the s.

I think I need to start a club: "Proud to be Pedantic". When my wife says I am pedantic, I reply: "thank you!" I use this little conversation as an excuse when I am (gently) correcting someone or pointing out what I believe to be a mistake. (I don't do this often, or I would no longer be on this planet.)

Pedantic means excessively concerned with formal rules, especially grammar, as in the joke.
