If you are not having tuition at the weekend, there are many opportunities in the area for visiting interesting places. You may decide to visit the Welsh coast, the historical towns of Chester, Shrewsbury and Ludlow, or see where the industrial revolution began in Ironbridge. Others may choose to go further afield and spend a weekend in some of the major cities of Britain such as London, Edinburgh, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon.

You may prefer to relax and spend more time in the local area. This part of Shropshire is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and has many places of interests for tourists.

We provide a small car for the shared use of students and offer you a typical British Sunday lunch at our village pub on a Sunday if you are staying for two weeks or more. Many students choose to explore the area on a Saturday, when the shops are open, and to relax here on a Sunday catching up with their English and their emails!

Siemens Testimonial

English training in Lydbury is very well received by our learners. Most of them decide for the combination course. Even when they have stayed just for one week they become more fluent and gain self-confidence in using English in their daily (business) life. Most wish to have stayed longer or they aim to come back for another round of training if budget and schedule allow it.

The owners spare no effort in organizing training that is customized to individual needs in a very relaxing atmosphere. Our colleagues always comment very positively on the accommodation and the food.
