Where We Are
Lydbury English Centre is located in an English village halfway between Birmingham and the Welsh coast, close to the border with Wales.
Lydbury North is in the South West of the beautiful county of Shropshire. We are equally distant from the major cities and airports of Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool.
Our region is officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rich in historic towns, prehistoric forts, castles and other historic architecture.
It is a very peaceful and ideal place to study.
We provide a carWe have a small car available for students to share for local travel. There is no rental charge for the car; the only cost is for fuel which is calculated according to the distance you travel. (Conditions apply) for you to use for sightseeing. There are also excellent train services to nearby towns and to the capital cities of London, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

Medieval Bishop's Castle is our nearest market town, 5 km from Lydbury North. Our regional town is Ludlow, described as 'The Jewel in the British Crown', famous not only historically, but also for its wonderful restaurants and food markets.
Our county town is Shrewsbury, the birthplace of Darwin. Shropshire is also the birthplace (in Ironbridge) of the Industrial Revolution. The Ironbridge open air museum is an excellent place to visit at the weekends.
