Thanks everyone for your sharing. Interesting to learn that some apples are eating apples, and some other varieties are cooking or baking apples. I am inspired to try using apples in cooking and baking, but I will have to use the ordinary apples as we don’t have other kinds (cooking or baking apples isn’t in our culture). I will also have to invent my own simplest “recipes” because something in my nature will always simplify things. I remember that I once “followed” a recipe and baked a cake and gave it to my boss very late at night (it took me long). She called back and kindly commented: This must be very nutritious because it is so heavy. I know you have put in all the ingredients. (Reminds me of British English)
