Title: so that I can go straight there
Post by: bookworm on February 14, 2020, 03:45:10 am
Let's say there are two options to go from point A to point B. From your hotel to the Eiffel Tower, you can take the subway. Another option is to take the bus, but you will get off at one station to take the second bus that goes directly to the Eiffel Tower. In other words, there is no direct bus from your hotel to that tourist spot.

Receptionist: Do you prefer to go there by train or bus?
You: I'll take the train so I can go straight there. (= so I won't need to get off and get on the second bus anymore.)

Does the italicized text sound natural?
