$60-70,000 per year increase
« on: October 20, 2014, 11:40:43 am »
Without recasting, are these punctuated correctly?

Ľa $12-15 million a year industry
(We don't repeat the $ symbol before '15'. If we did, it would change the meaning to 'a twelve dollar to fifteen million dollar a year industry', correct? Do you agree with the way I have punctuated the bulleted example?)

Ľa $60-70,000 per year increase in spending
(Same logic as above, ie we don't repeat the $ symbol before '70,000'. The bulleted example above clearly conveys that I'm saying 'a sixty thousand [not: sixty dollar] to seventy thousand dollar per year increase in spending. Correct?)

Ľa $1-2 per day surcharge
(Meaning: "a one to two dollar per day surcharge. Good?)

Thanks.
